As we have discussed that Axios allows you to communicate with the APIs in your React project. The same tasks can also be performed by using AJAX, but Axios provide you more functionality and features and that helps you in building your application quickly. The idea with XIOS/3 is to save developers tons of code they otherwise would have to write, so if you wish to stop using XIOS/3 then you just have to write what is xios that code. You are still in control of all the components you use, so no you are not locked to XIOS/3.
With a line of code, you include XIOS/3 in your project, and can keep using your favorite components, frameworks and development environment. To deploy applications all you need is a standard webserver, just as a regular website. XIOS/3 enables you to leverage any web code into reusable building blocks that are always intelligently compatible. Utilize open source components or your favorite JavaScript framework, but relieve yourself from reinventing the wheel in each project. Chios is a large island that lies on the eastern side of the Aegean Sea, close to the Turkish coasts.
Axios API
The name “portasanta” derives from the door jambs of St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome, being made of this marble. XIOS/3 applications will adapt to the device they are currently running on, all that is needed is a standard web browser. We have discussed some useful operations such as fetching the data, posting the data, updating the data, or deleting the data in Axios. Once you will start working on React, you will have to use this library to communicate with the database server. So it is important to make a practice of it and understand how things work in Axios. Axios is a promise-based library, so you need to implement some promise-based asynchronous HTTP requests.
Also, unlike Low-Code, you are not locked to any specific server, building or deployment infrastructure. Unlike Low-Code, XIOS/3 apps are completely backend agnostic and can be hosted on any webserver. Also, there are no compilation or building steps required to launch your app.

Ottomans landed a large force on the island consequently and put down the rebellion. The Ottoman massacre of Chios expelled, killed or enslaved thousands of the inhabitants of the island.47 It wiped out whole villages and affected the Mastichochoria area, the mastic growing villages in the south of the island. It triggered also negative public reaction in Western Europe, as portrayed by Eugène Delacroix, and in the writing of Lord Byron and Victor Hugo. In 1825, Thomas Barker of Bath painted a fresco depicting the Chios Massacre on the walls of Doric House, Bath, Somerset.48 Finally, Chios was not included in the modern Greek state and remained under Ottoman rule. Midway up the east coast lie the main population centers, the main town of Chios, and the regions of Vrontados and Kambos. Chios Town, with a population of 32,400, is built around the island’s main harbour and medieval castle.

- Instead, focus on the user experience. The distributed edge cloud computing of XIOS/3 then allows your web applications to utilize computing power in user devices, improving speed, usability and scalability, while reducing the cost of providing them.
- From tours to hotels and from car rentals to ferry tickets, we provide all the essential services to make your trip to Greece the most epic and smooth one.Our services are rated .
- Also, unlike Low-Code, you are not locked to any specific server, building or deployment infrastructure.
Leverage the free computing power in end user devices to make applications faster and more scalable than ever. All while reducing costs for cloud hosting by relieving the server from heavy lifting. All XIOS/3 building blocks, included by us or by you, have access to tons of functionality out-of-the-box, making it possible to build web apps that look and function like real software. Also, XIOS/3’s unique edge capabilities mean unbeatable usability and speed.

XIOS/3 can be used to give legacy systems or old apps a new, modern look and feel without throwing away previous investments in core system architecture. The above example is just a small code description to showcase how to use Axios in your project. We will discuss multiple methods such as GET, POST, and PUT in Axios in the upcoming section. This relative stability was ended by the sacking of Constantinople by the Fourth Crusade (1204) and during the turmoil of the 13th century the island’s ownership was constantly affected by the regional power struggles. After the Fourth Crusade, the Byzantine empire was divided up by the Latin emperors of Constantinople, with Chios nominally becoming a possession of the Republic of Venice.
Administratively, the island forms a separate municipality within the Chios regional unit, which is part of the North Aegean region. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Chios.3 Locals refer to Chios town as Chora (Χώρα literally means land or country, but usually refers to the capital or a settlement at the highest point of a Greek island). XIOS/3 does not require any specific development environment, use the one you are accustomed to or even a simple text-editor would do. Now let’s come to the next point and understand how different operations can be performed such as fetching the data or consuming the data using Axios (GET-POST-DELETE).
